Summer Solstice Nidra & Reflections

The Summer Solstice, longest day of the year is here in the Southern Hemisphere! As you bask in the warm of radiant sunshine hours, we invite you to embrace the magic of these long days with us. The lovely Charlotte Friedrich's curated a Summer Solstice Nidra meditation to celebrate this radiant energy, connect with our inner and outer worlds and deeply relax.

This Yoga Nidra practice (16 min) for the Summer Solstice, celebrates this special moment in the year and brings our awareness to the energies that are at play in nature right now. Marking the longest day and shortest night, the solstice is a time of culmination as we enter into the fullness of summer. We’re invited to savour the nourishment that nature provides for us in the summer months while connecting to our inner summer energy and ability to magnetise what we desire towards us. This practice also brings awareness to our skin as the boundary between the inside and the outside world, leaving us feeling both protected and radiant, ready and rested for the holidays.

Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice which guides you into a deep state of rest using breath awareness, a body scan, and visualisation. All you need to do is get as comfortable as possible somewhere where you are undisturbed and listen to the recording.

Feel like journaling to reflect some more?

Another little invitation to find a quiet space, light some incense and settle in for a little moment to reflect with your journal and your pen.

1. What aspects of the changing seasons resonate with the shifts in your own life?

2. In what ways do you find yourself aligned with the energy of the summer solstice, and how can you carry this into your daily life?

3. Reflect on moments of personal growth and learning over the past months. How have these experiences shaped your journey leading up to the solstice?

4. Consider the metaphorical significance of the longest day. What intentions or goals have reached their peak, and how can you sustain or build upon them?

5. Explore the elements of light and darkness in your life. What illuminates your path, and what shadows might you acknowledge and embrace for personal insight?

6. Envision the next 6 weeks from now. What aspirations and intentions will guide you as you move forward into the coming months?

Happy Summer Solstice loves!
