Digital Marketing & Brand Manager

Role Overview

The Digital Marketing & Brand Manager is a pivotal role at dea, responsible for driving brand awareness, nurturing our community, and managing our entire digital ecosystem. This is a "on-the-tools" role: you will lead the high-level Strategy and Marketing Planning, execute beautiful organic storytelling, and manage our Email Marketing & Performance Marketing (Paid Ads) to drive scalable growth. Working directly with the Founder and General Manager, you will balance creative vision with analytical precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Own the marketing calendar, aligning product launches, seasonal campaigns, and holiday events across all channels. Knowledge of Asana would be great.

  • Performance Marketing: Build, monitor, and optimise Meta Ads and Google Ads to drive ROAS and capture high-intent shoppers.

  • Content & Social Media: Lead strategy and execution for Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, communicating our mission of wellness and sustainability.

  • Email Marketing (Klaviyo): Manage all automated flows and weekly newsletters, utilising segmentation to drive retention and revenue.

  • E-commerce: Oversee the Shopify storefront and catalogue, including Google Merchant Centre

  • Sales and Wholesale: Manage existing and seek new wholesale account, and lead the Affiliate and Loyalty programs.

  • Brand Identity: Brief and oversee our designer, including social assets and ad creative, posters and emails, ensuring every touchpoint reflects dea’s premium, minimal aesthetic. 

  • SEO: Plan and drive content for website across blog posts and meta descriptions to ensure organic traffic is growing.


 


 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in Slow Fashion and E-commerce is essential.

  • Location: This is a remote role but candidate must be based in New Zealand or Australia.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Email Marketing Software, and Shopify is a must.

  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop long-term growth strategies while managing daily execution.

  • Creative Eye: A strong aesthetic sense aligned with design-conscious, wellness-oriented audiences.

  • Communication: Exceptional copywriting and professional sales communication skills.

  • Values-Aligned: A genuine passion for sustainability, ethical production, and conscious living.
